Visited: Switzerland
We planned on a eleven day holiday in Switzerland-- on the first day we reached Zurich; from there we went to Interlaken where we stayed for 3 days. The same evening we took a cruise at Lake Brienz and explored the city. The next day we left for Jungfraujoch (at the top of Europe) by cog rail-- the place is snowy all year long and is a delight for a non-skier too. Glittering passages, mysterious niches and stairways pass ice sculptures sprinkled along the route.
We were taken to three regions to enjoy the snow-- Grindelwald, Kleine Scheidegg and Männlichen and finally Mürren/Schilthorn. Mürren is a tiny village-and as perfect as a movie set.
After the snow we headed for Montreux, a very picturesque town. We spent a few memorable days and then on the last leg of our trip we reached Lucern. Keeping Lucern as our base we went on a day trip to Bern to see all the churches, the parliament and the federal court. The next day we went to Pilatus where one can take boat rides or go on cable cars for nice views. On our last day we took an excursion to Lugano. We also saw Mehde- a Swiss miniature city mall, Ciani Park, Santa Maria Degli Angli, Mounta Tamaro, Festival
jazz-square and Mount S.
