About the Couple
Jennifer works with her mother and brother at a family control panel wiring business. She has also taken different courses in the art of massage, and enjoys doing it part time. Richard works at Dairy Queen in Olds as a full-time manager/supervisor. He worked as a a graphic artist in a print shop and later at a newspaper for 3 years after college, before returning to Dairy Queen.

How We Met
"We met working together at the Dairy Queen in Olds, before moving to Lethbridge for Richard to attend college. We returned to Olds for the birth of our son, Hal, and have been living between Olds and Didsbury for the last 3 years."

The Engagement
"We took a walk down to the local jewelry store to check out some engagement rings. Our son Hal picked out the best one of them all."

The Wedding Details

The Venue
We were married in Centennial Park in Olds, Alberta on June 26, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. The ceremony was held in the gazebo in the park. We held our reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #105 in Olds, Alberta. Our colors were Ivory & Maroon.

The Wedding Theme
Says Richard: "We used family pictures as our main theme. The tables were decorated with 3- 31/2" x 2" picture frame, chocolate bars with custom designed wrappers with a picture of Jennifer & I, and a gazebo graphic."

The Cake and Centerpieces
The centerpieces were foam squares decorated with silk ivory roses & maroon candles. "The cake was of 3 layers with edible images of us as kids. The cake topper was a photo frame with our engagement photo."

The Menu
Caesar Salad, Roast Beef, Scalloped potatoes, Vegetables, Ice Cream & cookies for dessert.

What the Bride and Groom Wore
Jennifer wore a strapless A-line wedding dress. Richard wore a classic notch tail coat with classic pique accessories. Both were picked up at The Bridal Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
